Youth protection: Age limits for the sale of alcohol
Switzerland has clear legal regulations regarding the protection of minors in relation to alcohol. These regulations serve to protect children and young people from the health risks of alcohol consumption.
Under 16 years of age: The sale of any alcoholic beverages, including beer and wine, is prohibited.
Ages 16 to 17: The sale of fermented alcoholic beverages such as beer, wine, cider, and sparkling wine is permitted. However, the sale of spirits (aperitifs, alcopops) is prohibited.
Ages 18 and up: The sale of all alcoholic beverages is permitted.
ID check:
Please have official identification readily available when placing an order or receiving a delivery containing alcoholic beverages.
Alcohol will only be sold to persons of legal drinking age. Please note: No alcohol can be sold without valid ID. A refund is unfortunately not possible in this case!
