Protection of minors: Age limits for the sale of alcohol
Switzerland has clear legal regulations regarding the protection of minors in connection with alcohol. These regulations serve to protect children and young people from the health risks associated with alcohol consumption.
Under 16 years: The sale of any alcoholic beverages, including beer and wine, is prohibited
16 to 17 years: The sale of fermented alcoholic beverages such as beer, wine, must, and sparkling wine is permitted. However, the sale of spirits (spirits, aperitifs, alcopops) is prohibited.
From 18 years of age: The sale of all alcoholic beverages is permitted.
ID check:
Please have government-issued ID ready when ordering or delivering alcoholic beverages.
Alcohol is only sold within the legal age limit. Please note: Alcohol cannot be served without valid ID. Refunds are unfortunately not possible in this case.
